Hello! If you are first time visiting my blog, Thank you and Nice to meet you :)
My name is Koko, I'm a Japanese Illustrator.

Moja Monster is coming to get you!
Moja means shaggy / frizzy hair in Japanese.
MOJA MONSTER is a friendly monster, that is covered with colorful curly hair 🙂
This is a perfect simple Fall activity where kids especially in kindergarten.
Simple and Fun, that is.
*ops you see FlyingDiaper logo… it’s my previous blog I had before. Please don’t mind,
First….Get FREE template!
I’ve drawn the Moja Monster template. You can print it out, glue to a cardboard or cereal box (this is what I did for this activity) – something hard paper then let your kid glue autumn leaves.
I’ve stored it on my resource library.
To get a password for it, please simply sign up for my newsletter then I will send you the password immediately. It’s sorted under “Kids Activity” section.
Quick, Easy and FREE. We all like that, right?
Kids activity, it doesn’t have to be costly.
This activity’s materials are completely FREE –
I used the empty cereal box.
Just opened it up, and this is what I drew on it.
I drew 2 Moja Monsters on cereal box.
After drawing cut out all the body parts.
Let your kids use glue …. it’s fun to see sticky liquids come out of the bottle!
Z doesn’t have a good control, (he squeezes too hard or press against the paper too hard…) So I had to help him,
but he still had a fun.
+Empty boxes or thick paper
+Water Glue I recommend Japanese Yamato Glue – so good!
+Pen (to draw monster shape)
Paper – what type of paper should I use?
I recommend to use something hard paper, not a regular thin copy paper.
Cereal box is the best I think, it’s thin enough to easy-cut, and thick enough to stay strong with leaves on.
Cardboard box is fine too, but it’s usually difficult to cut with scissors.
Glue – what type of glue?
Use a liquid glue, because normal hard glues are hard to use for leaves.
Leaves don’t stick to paper very well.
How to keep leaves fresh
I kept leaves in a tupperware and kept it in a refrigerator with damp kitchen paper towel on top.
This way leaves don’t get dried and stay cool, so they don’t get shrunk or edge doesn’t curl up.
Cool & Moisture is important!
Here is the picture of finished Moja Monster.
It will be fun if you used a Brass Fasteners for his hands so we can move them.
They are very cheap so can be a good items to have if you do more paper craft activities.
